The fourth in a series of trailheads designed for Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve.  The Gateway serves as the primary access point to the 36,400-acre Preserve.  Program elements include an outdoor amphitheater, an educational nature trail, mountain biking trails and paths for horseback riding. This LEED Platinum Certified project was designed to integrate into the existing site, utilizing sustainable construction techniques such as rainwater harvesting, LED lighting and stabilized decomposed granite paving.
