Project Description
Designed to blur the lines between the indoor and outdoor spaces, this private residence celebrates the Sonoran Desert and all its flora. A series of distinctive courtyards pull the residents from within the glass interior to an exterior composition of color, texture, and pattern in the immersive desert landscape. Each courtyard is unique and include such features as an outdoor shower at the master bath, a minimalist water feature at the main entry, integrated seatwalls and a linear fire feature. Specimen trees, such as large salvaged Ironwoods and Foothill Palo Verdes, provide filtered shade for the owners’ dramatic collection of succulents and cacti.
